Gifting and receiving is simultaneously. When the person I gift to receives the gift, I am gifted by the receiving of it. It becomes a wonderful experience.

What are we willing to receive, though? How much have we decided to receive good things? Hmmm. What makes something a good thing? Could it be a personal judgment? If it is good from my perspective, then it is good. Is it?

What if I am willing to receive everything? The good, the bad and the ugly? Isn't that also a judgment? My point of view?

As I have been with this subject of receiving and exploring it, especially in connection with gifting as a form of 'payment', I have become aware of so much more. And what's true for me does not have to be true for you. I just would like to invite you to contemplate if and find out for yourself.

I have heard it said that one needs to charge so people receive what you offer. Translated, that would then also mean if I gift little I am willing to only receive little. That leaves the financial means of a person completely out of the picture. By putting a value on something I offer, I may make it not affordable for someone. Asking for people to pay what they can afford makes it available for all. It is also empowering the person to be honest with themselves and to check in with themselves. I actually mean this for both sides. How much am I gifting relative to what I am receiving. And, am I willing to give it my full presence no matter what someone is 'paying'?

It is way more complex when I operate from gifting and receiving than from simply assigning a value to something. How much am I willing to trust? And even deciding on how much to gift is not easy if I go about it from a mental space since I am also dealing with energetic contributions. It's like breathing - in-breath and out-breath. They are connected as each one of us is connected to everything; other people and nature.

And it is not my intention to say that gifting and receiving is right and assigning value is wrong. Rather I am looking to get from the either-or paradigm to an AND paradigm. I came across the gifting and receiving way of payment. I am fascinated by the idea and desire to explore it, find out how it can work for me; especially when I am also stating that I am trusting that the Universe has my back. I am interested in finding out how something 'looks like' lived. So I will be 'playing' with this idea on my website.
