The other day, I had a great conversation with a friend. We talked about money, the belief systems we have, that society has. What was really clear is that money is considered very significant.
Now how does this impact people’s ability to look at money, to be with money. When you think about your money situation, is there a light, cheery feeling? For most people it is not. So making something significant makes is extra difficult to deal with it. What if we stopped making anything significant? How might that be? Is it even possible?
First, what is your definition of significance? I can see how someone would say that something that is desired is significant. Yet, desire is stating a preference, significance is making something very important. Energetically it is not the same.
Second, it depends on how you look at life overall. For some people nothing is significant. Now that could mean that they live their lives the same way day in, day out. There are people for whom everything becomes significant and since it is external and it impacts their life, either positive or negative. Some people make choices based on what they desire without going into judgment which is required to make something significant. The more significant things are, the more drama tends to be present. Neither way is right or wrong, it is a choice a person makes.
The less significance one assigns to things actually creates more ease in one’s life.
Would you like some ease? If yes, check out my new offering: Practice Lab; a place where we support each other in letting go of points of view around subject areas, of behaviors that are almost automatic and therefore seem to be more difficult to change.
